The Meetings Show is now just a few weeks away and the buzz is building. Returning to ExCeL London on 28-29 June, this year’s show yet again promises to be THE must-attend event of the summer for the meetings, events and incentives community, bringing together thousands of buyers and suppliers to connect, learn and network. And here’s why…
Save time
Attending The Meetings Show enables time-poor planners to work smarter rather than harder, giving them the opportunity to face their challenges head on, discover cost-effective and environmentally friendly alternatives, reassess budgets, find ideal suppliers, stay ahead of current trends, and streamline the event planning process, all in just two days.
Those who qualify to join as hosted buyers get even more benefits, including access to a dedicated appointments diary to book pre-scheduled meetings, access to the hosted buyer lounge in partnership with MeetEngland and pre-show events, plus support with travel, accommodation, and more.
Discover even more exhibitors
This year’s show will feature more than 600 exhibitors from across the UK and the globe – you can browse the full exhibitor list here, and via the event app, which launches soon.
New for 2023 are Rwanda Convention Bureau, Rainbow Travel Group Zimbabwe, Mohegan Group, Visit York, San Francisco, MM&Co, Tottenham Hotspur, NEC Group, Visit Brussels, Netherlands Tourism Board, Scenic Hotels, First Travel, Aruba Tourism, Philippines Tourism, Barbados Tourism, Los Cabos, Convention Vienna and Spain Tourist Office, to mention a few.
In addition to destinations and venues, many leading hotel groups are exhibiting, alongside event technology suppliers, DMCs and industry associations. The Meetings Industry Association (mia) will have its largest stand and has partnered with fellow association beam to provide dedicated live education sessions on the stand as well as the opportunity to connect and network with their members. The Delegate Wranglers will also have its biggest ever stand featuring multiple partners and some exciting activations.
Learn something new
This year’s education programme has been shaken up and the new look line up will inform, inspire, and empower visitors to think, connect, plan and live differently.
Delivered by a range of expert speakers from companies including LinkedIn, DRPG, Agiito, Sledge and many more, the 28 sessions are split across four new themes: Impact, Inform, Innovate, and Inspire. Topics include how to network if you’re an introvert, the psychological power of incentive events, how branding principles can guide your event design, how you can be a changemaker every day, how charities can help you plan events with meaningful experiences, how event industry organisations can most efficiently achieve net zero carbon emissions and more.
This year’s show will also feature The Blank Canvas, a new space where visitors can unleash their creativity and experiment and try new things.
Meet the next generation
As part of its commitment to supporting the next generation of talent, The Meetings Show has once again partnered with Event First Steps to offer a dedicated programme for students and industry newbies.
This year’s Tomorrow’s Talent winners have also been invited to attend the show. The show’s scheme, run in partnership with M&IT, shines the spotlight on the next generation of future leaders within the meetings and events industry and provides them with the opportunity to progress further in their careers.
Make new connections
As well as catching up with existing industry colleagues and friends, the show offers plenty of opportunities to meet new faces, grow your network and enjoy some downtime at the countless networking and social events taking place throughout the show and the drinks at the end of day one.
