Are We Going Well?

Yes! Despite the long uncertainty, Boris Johnson has stated that “it is really clear now that it is paying off”.

Maintaining the same positive message, the dates announced in the initial roadmap have been confirmed, moving England to step 2 next Monday the 12th of April 2021.

Meeting planners and organisers looking to hire outdoor corporate venues and meeting spaces in the UK will be able to from next Monday, subject to adhering to government restrictions, strict social distancing and detailed hygiene requirements.

The Roadmap Is Following Its Course As Planned

The UK PM remained cautious by confirming that getting back to normal may “take a while”. However and most importantly, the roadmap is following its course as planned and in spite of the extenuating circumstances, if everything continues like this, it could resume on 17th of May, opening the chance of hosting up to 30 delegates and holding up to 6 attendees in small meeting venues.

ROADMAP-COVID-2021-VENUES

This is great news for the meetings and events industry that has really suffered during this global pandemic, and equally  importantly for the delegates and attendees who have missed the social interaction gained by people meeting up.

Although the PM showed confidence in the progress made to date, he didn’t underestimate the possible obstacles and difficulties that may occur.

The British Visits and Events Partnership (BVEP) has summarised this stage in the roadmap and we outlined these to support you in this next phase.
